Happy New Year!
With the debut of my first novel, The Belvedere Club, 2012 was a great year for me. I also began this blog post in 2012 to connect with my readers and fellow writers.
I had hoped to get a new post up every week, but with the writing of the sequel to The Belvedere Club and the editing of an older novel Bayou Nights, my goal fell short by 50%. Yes, I’m making excuses. But, I managed 24 posts last year, which is about one every two weeks. I also had some amazing guest posts by writers Enrico Antiporda, Bette and JJ Lamb, Marie Roughan, Pat Moran, Gloria Harchar, and the wonderful self-publishing post by my Elf, who prefers to remain nameless. I’ve got a few names for him…
2013 is a new year and with it comes new goals. Bayou Nights has just been published. Bolinas Bongo, the sequel to The Belvedere Club is now in its first round of edits. And I’m recommitting to posting—if not one new post a week—at least 3 posts a month. I also hope to have some new and exciting guest bloggers to connect you with more stories and ideas.
Thanks for your comments, your likes, your tweets, and your forwards. I hope you’ll continue to find interest here and will visit often. 2013 let’s do it!
